Dancehall superstar Sean Paul began scoring hit singles in Jamaica starting in 1996 and thereafter steadily began attracting international attention, eventual breaking into the pop mainstream in 2002 with Dutty Rock.
He became a DJ after he began writing his own songs, patterning his style largely after Super Cat and finding a mentor in Don Yute.

Sean Paul ran photo contest called “What’s your Tomahawk Technique?” by using SocialAppsHQ’s Photo Contest App. In the contest, fans were supposed to submit their funky hairstyle photos for a chance to see Sean Paul perform in the city.
The Winner of the Contest was “Giuseppe Dicolangelo” got the maximum number of votes.
With 21 entries in the contest and 1000+ votes, the campaign was huge success & made sure that it got fans talking about his music everywhere online. With the campaign, the number of likes increased to over 5.5 million.
